Not the usual brewery in any sense. Peaceful old farm, fun for the kids. Beers are brewed with large quantities of honey. The Porter is the Nectar of the Gods. The original Honey ale is great too. Not a restaurant, not a pub, just a fun, relaxing place to have a great homemade beer (and a root beer for the kids). (Date added: 3/30/98) There is money in the honey! Doug Cartwright's masterful use of Honey and Honey only is a refreshing change. His brews exhibit a creaminess unseen anywhere else. The honey mead is a must try. The atmosphere is very different from the usual multimillion dollar setup. The old dairy farm is condusive to family outings rather than the antiseptic world of most microbreweries. He even has a root beer for the young 'uns. In the summer months he has concerts and mountain bike races. I love those homegrown micro's. (Date added: 5/15/97) |
