Great beer and great food combined with an outstanding atmosphere. On warm days, and especially nights, sit outside on the deck overlooking the city of Richmond. Their lager is smooth and rich. (Date added: 5/16/98) Very good beers in a laid back atmosphere! On a recent visit, they had an excellent seasonal dopplebock, the Golden (actually an IPA) was very good, and the pilsner was good as well. Avoid the Porter, which is a bit too sweet. Courteous staff who love to tout their beers. (Date added: 5/15/98) Greetings from Portland. I was Legend's VP/GM for several years before recently moving to the PNW. A few of the items on their listing bear correction: Brewery type: Microbrewery* with onsite pub, capacity aprx 7500 bbls (*most of their production is sold to local draft & package trade) Brewer: Alan Williamson Regular beers: Lager, Pilsner, Golden Ale (IPA), Brown Ale, Porter Phone: they would probably prefer use of their new pub number for public contacts, which is (804) 232-3446 E-mail: The address you have listed is my old Richmond E-mail address. They do have a web site at www.legendbrewing.com but I don't know who is currently taking their E-mail. Kick A*s Golden Ale, which is really an IPA. Have not had the Dopplebock but am looking forward to it! All an all a great place to have a quart. (Date added: 10/11/97) Every Legend beer I have had is excellent. I had a keg of Legend brown ale at my wedding and it was a big hit. (Date added: 6/27/97) Beer is great, especially the porter & brown ale. Good place for lunch and a few brews. You can even sit outside up on the deck and enjoy outside. |
