Not only do they have great beer here but the food is also great. The menu ranges from great sandwiches (I recommend the Grilled Portobello club) to unusual, but tasty pizzas (4 cheese,Soujthwestern Chicken, etc) and full entrees. The prices are good and many of their dishes are made with beer including the Cheddar Cheese Soup with Beer (American Red Ale) and Bacon. Their Culinary Trained staff knows how to pair food and beers and they host many Beer Dinners and Tasting throughout the year. Visit their web page at www.pojonews.com/hpbrewing (Date added: 5/6/97) - Howard Riggs Their motto reads "Fresh Brew, Great Food, 'nuff said", but I'd like to say a little more. Whether you're looking to have a special night out, or a dinner with the family, or pizza and wings with friends, or just to tip a few back with good company, the Hyde Park Brewing Company is for you. All the beers are full flavored without being bitter and compliment the food wonderfully. Although still very new, the Hyde Park Brewing Company has already become one of my favorite regular stops.
Information from Jeff Nelson This is the 11th brewpub that I have visited and it stands head and shoulders above the others. The food is excellent, the staff is competent and friendly, and, best of all, the beer is great! The monthly special brews have all been outstanding. For an exceptional half and half try the British Mild with the Porter. In addition to the fine food and beer, Brewmaster John Eccles is usally available to talk about brewing. This is what all brewpub out to be. |
