The Royal Oak Brewery just celebrated their 2 year anniversary with style brewing up a Kolsch, Wit, Oktoberfest, Wee Heavy and a Dunkel Weiss. They were all fantastic. Brewer Wayne Burns is doing a phenomenal job with all the beers. In response to MK's comments, I have to say he probably hasn't even been to the brewpub. I found out that the Royal Oak Brewery does not even carry Bud. Have you ever been to the pub MK? The Royal Oak Brewery is worth seeking out and is brewing some of the best beers in Metro Detroit. They are pushing the 2000 BBL mark after 2 years. Keep up the good work! (Date added: 9/14/97) I was surprised from the minute I walked in and saw almost all the people in the bar area drinking Bud & Miller Lite bottles! The beer is not bad, it's just not that good. None of the beers were worth coming back for. And the parking is horrible -- it's impossible to find a spot on the weekends. (Date added: 5/20/97) The Royal Oak Brewery will be adding a beer garden this summer that will hold approximately 75 to 100 people. It will be fashioned after German beer gardens with plenty of trees and comfortable surroundings. Look for it in late June 1997. For more info call Drew Ciora at (810)544-1141.
