I was visiting a friend in Michigan and stopped in many breweries this one by had some of the most unique beers. The Paleooza is a high quality pale ale. Kourage is a robust porter. I especially enjoyed the Mad Hatter, an insanely dry-hopped ale. You most try these delightful brews. I compare them favorably to Bells and the like. (Date added: 3/30/98) I am visiting Michigan on holiday from Wales UK and as per previous visits am tasting my way through the beers produced from the area. Without a doubt the Ichabod Pumkin Beer is one of the best I've tried in the US. My other favourites being, the whole Bells range, Pyramid peach and stout, Celis Grand Cru, Anchor Porter. Its difficult for a man from an island with such a great brewing tradition (Germany and Belgium nearby) to get high quality, complex, interesting and tastey beers in the US, but the Pumkin Ale in my humble opinion is a classic. But now the real test - what is the rest of your range like? Will be paying you a visit from nearby Grand Rapids soon. Thanks for the pleasure of tasting such a fine ale. (Date added: 12/26/97) - alan golding Good over all beers here. They had three on tap at the time. A very good pumpkin Ale was new here. (Date added: 11/29/97) |
