The beers are not fresh, and have a DMS, Butterscotch taste. The food here demands a 4 rating. Excellent prime rib, creole and cajun pasta dishes. Tried the beer sampler: Amber Bock - this is a smooth, well-made beer that is an excellent first choice. Cherry Wheat - this tastes like a wine cooler. Red - decent beer, not great but not bad. Wheat - they add a slice of lemon that makes this beer taste like electric lemonade, a great summer choice. IPA - solid hoppy bitterness, definitely gets a thumbs up from the hopheads. Porter - too close to a stout, this brew needs more caramel and less roast flavor. (Date added: 7/7/97) |
