See what gak thinks of the beers from Big Buck Brewery and Steakhouse at Beer Is My Life!

Affectionately known as "Little Buck" by the company, the Grand Rapids Big Buck is really great. The building and atmosphere are almost exactly like the bigger stores, (only smaller :) and the beer is excellent. I had the Black and Berry, and the Stout, both of which are excellent (full body, great hop balance, and excellent use of fruit and malt flavors).
The raspberry wheat, the ESB and the Bock are also great selections. I was lucky enough to run into the Big Buck corporate brewer the night I was there (I had met him before at the Big Buck in Auburn Hills), and he was kind enough to buy me a pint of the scotch ale, which was magnificent. Kudos to the Big Buck folks for a fine job with this restaurant. Highly recommended. (Date added: 12/22/97)

Just opened and had dinner there last weekend. Beautifull building and wonderfull atmosphere. The food was great and the beer to match. I had their dark sampler of 5 which consisted of Redbird Ale, Doc's E.S.B., Black River Stout, Black'n Berry(Stout and their Raspberry wheat), and a seasonal specialty which was one of their light beers mixed with a raspberry soda. My favourites of those were the Black'n Berry and the Stout. I can't wait to go back and try the Raspberry wheat on its own. The other beers that they have on the menu are Buck Naked "Light", Wolverine Wheat, Big Buck Beer(House specialty), Raspberry wheat, and Antler Ale.
