A for effort.
The space was a formerly non-descript "lounge" in the corner of a family and senior citizens seafood and Italian place. They've tried to make it more pubby with long tables and benches and some sports memorabilia, but it can't halt the fact that Aunt Mabel is gumming her chowder through the window in the dining room. Beer is good, but not complex. Exception would be the Octoberfest which was superlative with hints of exotic flavors that were subtle enough compared to some of the overbearing 'fests from less stable hands. Great to have these guys in the state; especially so near the beaches. (Date added: 12/16/97)
