this is a really fun place with lots of pool tables, live music, a comedy club, and most importantly great beer! (Date added: 7/2/98) i have not had the food, but their beers and tools for entertainment attract fun crowds. Ranks above other brew pubs in connecticut like john harvard and troutbrook. (Date added: 6/25/98) Live music, a comedy club, pool room and the best beers I have ever tasted. (Date added: 6/25/98) excellent beers ranging from light ales to bachs to stouts, about 9 different ones total. The naughty nurse however is exceptionally smooth. City steam also has many pool tables, arcades and a rowdy steam whistle to excite crowds. An overall great place. (Date added: 6/24/98) Relatively average and mundane beers on tap. Stay away from the Naughty Nurse Pale Ale - it is not very good. They did have a very good Belgian Trippel on my visit. Service and a comfortable bar atmosphere make this a worthwhile place to visit. (Date added: 6/24/98) Great beers. A very large brewpub in downtown hartford with party accomodations, pool rooms, arcades, great food and free parking. (Date added: 6/23/98) hands down the best brewery in connecticutt! (Date added: 6/23/98) Brewer Ron Page has made some excellent beers here. I highly recommend the Naughty Nurse, it's more then just a name. (Date added: 6/22/98) I cant say much for the food because I spend all my money on beer, but from what i hear it is pretty good. The bar and brews are outstanding and as a combined force are destroying my liver. That's okay though because if I die drinkng beers thi good I will rest in peace. Seriously though I feel obligated to tell all of CT to check this place out. It has a very respectable 20-30 year old crowd which really gets into the spirit of the steam whistles and great beer. Live music and a large pool room also help provide for some fun action on the side. I hear it is new, but anticipate awards for best beer in CT, maybe even more than that. Order up NAUGHTY NURSE and tell the bartenders that Kalory gave you the thumbs up on this one. (Date added: 6/18/98) One of the best breweries in the north-east, possibly even the country. Well priced food which tends to be consistantly good. A well decorated and painted atmosphere with a very unique concept of city steam used to brew the tanks. There are usually about 9 offerings with classic names like "The Naughty Nurse" and "The Drinkng Nun." Brewer Ron Page has crafted some beers which would challenge such hot spots as Brew Moon, John Harvards or going out west to Rock Bottom. It is new and has great potential. I look forward to returning. (Date added: 6/18/98) Beers were decent. Food and service left a lot to be desired. (Date added: 6/15/98) |
